Now Faith!

Hey MMC Family,

I know I'm a new member of the church, but I just wanted to take a moment to share a testimony. FAIR WARNING: You gottah love reading because I had to explain this from the beginning to the end.

It's been a goal in my house to legalize my car, especially after being pulled over twice, in a matter of four months. Finances are tight in my house, but I was headstrong on at least being able to remove the illegal tint (myself) and retrieve a temporary safety sticker... AT LEAST!

Before even starting my day, I checked my wallet, and I literally only had $33. So now I'm thinking to myself, "How the heck am I gonnah pay for this? Cause I'm broke!" Then something tells me, "No worry about'um. Just do whatchu' can for now." (Yes... that was straight moke, I know! Lol. But that's just how God talks to me).

Now... I had JUST ENOUGH to update only my safety... I needed a little more to purchase the tool I needed to remove my tint. As I'm hesitating even following through with this plan, again, something tells me, "Just go," and I listen...

After removing my tint, I sat in my car (with the ac running, of course), then again, something tells me, "Go see if you can go online to check how much your registration." I listen...

I see how much it costs, then start thinking to myself, "Okay... maybe I cannot do that today, but I can at least do my safety." Then something tells me, "Call the house and ask the house what they can offer." And what do I do? I listen...

With the help from my siblings and Mom, I was able to gather the money I needed to pay for all the fees needed to legalize my car completely.

Next, I go to a local mechanic shop, passed my safety inspection, and as I'm reversing out to head to the DMV, MY CAR COMPLETELY DIES OUT! I'm stuck in the intersection, and I start talking out loud! (I've been practicing using the power of the tongue since this last Sunday's service). I'm yelling out my window, "God please!... The devil trynna have me today, but not today, not tomorrow, not ever! I'm literally halfway there!" Made a phone call, and a really good friend comes to my aid and gives my car a jump. As I'm letting some power cycle through my car, I get flashback of earlier on the road, someone's decal that said, "Powered by Christ," I try to start my car and it finally restarts on the 2nd try, then I'm back on the road. Thank You, Jesus!

I was able to complete the process of legalizing/updating my car today, but there were just three important parts to this testimony that I left out...
1) I'm a stay-at-home Mom of two beautiful girls with a baby boy on the way, with a boyfriend who pays all the bills in the house. I couldn't afford any of the things I paid for today.
2) I participated in tithes & offerings, FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, this last Sunday service, which, all I have to say is: "WOW!"
3) I was given a "good" sign before even being able to start my day: My gas was on "empty" this morning, so before I could drive anywhere, I went to 7-11 for a refill. As I was putting gas, parked in front of me was an MMC leader refilling his car also. (Not sharing his name just in case he's not comfortable with being mentioned).

God is SO, so Good.
